1. Check the thermostat first.
Confirm it's set to heat, and that the temperature is set higher than the current room temperature. It might sound obvious, but it's also the single most common fix.
2. Check the breaker.
A tripped breaker can shut a heating system down completely. Find your electrical panel and see if the breaker for the heater has flipped.
3. Check the power switch.
Some heating systems have a separate power switch nearby, often mounted on or near the unit itself. Make sure it hasn't been switched off.
4. If you smell gas, stop and get everyone outside.
This overrides everything else on this list. Leave the house, get some distance, and call from outside. Don't try to locate the source yourself, and don't turn any switches on or off on your way out.
5. If none of that fixes it, give us a call.
No shame in skipping straight to this step. A furnace is not something most people should be taking apart.
You Can Always Reach an Agent
A live agent answers 24/7. Technicians go out during business hours, roughly 8 am to 8 pm, and if you call outside that window, the agent can tell you when to expect us.
We Fix the Problem, Not Just the Symptom
A dead furnace can mean a dozen different things, from a simple ignition problem to something bigger. We diagnose it first and give you a clear answer before starting any repair.
